Product Manager

Position: Full-time  • Location: Remote

To Apply: Send a resume along with a note about your story and why you would be a good fit for this position

We’re seeking a hands on product manager to do something that truly matters. We’re poised for incredible impact in 2020, expecting to enable texting conversations with virtually every undecided voter in America. We’re lucky to count some of the most impactful and innovative progressive groups in the country as our customers. We need you to take over day-to-day responsibilities for new features on our peer-to-peer texting platform from our founders. This is an incredibly important role, reporting to the co-founder and CEO.

We’re looking for someone who is excited to:
  • Define feature requirements in a concise and clear way

  • Dynamically prioritize features with our development team on a daily and weekly basis

  • Manage development sprints

  • Champion end users through User Acceptance Testing of new features

About You
  • You are wondering if there’s a way that you can make more of a difference in 2020

  • You likely have had recent experience as a product manager, a program manager, and/or a business analyst.

  • You understand what it’s like to work with organizations as customers (as opposed to just individual voters or consumers).

  • You’re very comfortable working directly with software developers as part of a remote team

  • You feel that coming into an office is a waste of time

About TextOut

TextOut is Open Progress’ proprietary person-to-person texting software. Built in 2018 and spun out in 2019 as its own firm, TextOut makes possible richly-scripted interactions which can be easily overseen with high levels of quality control - and no loss of the key data you need because it’s automatically captured. All profits from TextOut go back to fund non-profit missions at Open Progress and its other non-profit partners, making it the only progressive technology platform in the space that exists to not only drive change but to fund it, too.
